Cincinnati Archers JOAD (pronounced "jo-add") is a Junior Olympic Archery Development club. Created and sponsored by USA Archery, JOAD programs support archery programs for people of all ages in local communities. Contact Gold Medal Archery to learn more about requirements for team membership.
Cincinnati Archers JOAD & Adult Club Program Objectives
Activities can range from beginning archery instruction and outreach to Olympic and world championship archery competitions. Instruction is provided by USA Archery certified coaches. Through the process of building archery skills, members also develop life skills. Benefits of youth and adult involvement include:
- Safety and proper archery shooting techniques
- Recurve and compound bow fundamentals
- Communication and following instructions
- Goal setting and time management
- Self-confidence and team building
- Leadership and responsibility
- Advanced competitive target archery skills
Local club members join USA Archery, which is the national governing body for the sport of archery, and is sanctioned by the US Olympic Committee to oversee US Olympic Archery programs and events. USA Archery is a member of the World Archery Federation (WA), the international governing body of the sport of archery.

Members of the Cincinnati Archers Club enjoy personal growth through leadership and service, and also can attend open archery range practice sessions to further develop their archery skills.

Leadership & Service Opportunities include training to become a Certified USA Archery Instructor, learning to become an Archery Equipment Repair Expert, and assisting with Archery Community Outreach events and Gold Medal programs.
